For our Bouquet of the Week for 17th-21st August we are delighted to offer a selection of our summer Cornish Flowers. The selection of Cornish Flowers this week will be Scented Pinks, Snapdragons, Helichrysum, Verbena and Ornithogalum Saundersiae
This time every year we have a lot of phone calls from customers asking ‘what are the Ornithogalum?’ They are a stunning creamy/white flower grown from bulb. Originally from South Africa but grow very well in our mild Cornish climate. They have very unusual black centres on star-shaped flowers cream/white flowers and last an incredibly long time in the vase. We grow the Ornithogalum Saundersiae here on our farm, but also top up with extras from Stuart who grows flowers a few miles away near the sea!
